Do you mean to tell me that Prompt Engineer isn't a real job??
It was, but they lost their jobs to AI automation.
Seriously, I have been screwing around with AI for coding for 12 months now. The prompts I had to give 12 months ago to make the LLM generate decent code are mostly un-necessary now, the models have learned to do those things for themselves, so I am now prompting for the less-obvious stuff. Whatever they're missing, that's what you need to be prompting.
Do you mean to tell me that vibe-writing prompts is an equivalent to an engineering degree??

Just wanted to say I noticed and appreciate the effort to have what looks like two stages of zalgo there (unless there's a generator out there that will auto-increase it over the string, in which case........ link? hehe)
I searched for one, either it's not out there (yet) or my searching sucks.
Also it's increased in each word after the start, just not dramatically at first.
I'm going to guess if you expressed what you want to a decent LLM, it could generate it for you to copy-paste.
Hard pass. This was just a few more copy pastes, the day I can't do that I don't belong on the internet at all.
Y'know, I hadn't noticed "future" at first, and for my on desktop, it does reach a limit (re: the screenshot another user made). Hah, so even more kudos for the effort <3

There are people getting paid for it. So I guess it actually is at least for now.
I mean it is a real job, and it takes a unique skill set if your actually building the workflow, tuning the model and learning the tooling.
But it's not the same job as artist.
Its like comparing a stone sculpture to a welder. Both can make art but it's two VERY different processes and results.
The problem is the stupid ass prompt engineers are claiming to be artists and have no actual art skills. And 99% of them don't even understand how the fuck their own tooling works, understand how to actual tune the model or even what it's training set really is.
They just slap words into the slop generator and call it a day
It's the equivalent of yeeting a paint can at a wall and calling it art.

It's like comparing a stone sculptor to a welder where the welding tools started as magnifying glasses in the direct sun a year ago worked up through acetylene torches and now you've got 400A precision TIG arc welders to screw up with...
3D modelling has nothing to do with prompts and tuning models. The output is objectively garbage to anyone with even passing knowledge of the subject.
Just like with anything machine generated, it's always really capable and will completely dominate the market, but only to the layperson who has no fucking clue what they're talking about.
That's really about the time and effort you put into the construction of the model and what you're trying to model in the first place.
For the most part, the LLMs are really bad at building say - a cat with realistic long fur. However, they can be good coloborative tools teaching you how to use Blender to build a decent cat with realistic long fur for yourself - speeding up that learning curve quite a bit over reading "Blender for Dummies" examples and building from there...
Stop talking. Prompting isn't working. I know, because I do it all day.
Everyone should just stop talking about it at this point and only look at the quality of their output. If you're AI-assisted and your shit still sucks then that's just you sucking shit.
Everybody should have been looking at the quality of their output before LLM tools were even a thing. They never should have stopped, if they did, that's on them just like Tesla drivers napping at 80mph.
