Or it's thinly veiled racism. Or Christian nationalism masquerading as patriotism. Or about how they are drunk again. Or how they want to beat up libs, their 4th wife, their neighbor, etc.
I fucking hate country music. Garbage ass genre made by garbage ass people to appeal to the worst people in the country and give them a pat on the back.
There are some tangential genres that are still decent. Bluegrass still has some proper good people in it for example.

When it's that Appalachian style I think it's considered more bluegrass than country. Country is a pretty gross genre anymore.
Appalachian may be one of the only styles of country that isn't gross yet.
