Talk about whatever, respecting the rules established by Lemmygrad. Failing to comply with the rules will grant you a few warnings, insisting on breaking them will grant you a beautiful shiny banwall.

The current world situation and what is to come is doing a number on my mental health, along with obvious and not so obvious personal things going on. I'm in dire need of essays/readings/podcasts/videos what ever to help me find some hope and optimism in these times. I really don't want to fall into depression and apathy again, it sucks.

Edit: I went for a hike and feel better :D

Positive leftist news on youtube can be good but it's no solution to what you are dealing with. Genuinely take the advice of other users. Log off, read books about things you like that aren't existentially dreadful, find a place you like that is outside and spend time there, share quality time with people you love, cook a tasty meal you don't get to have often, create art if you are in to that.

It is good to be political involved and politically aware but the human mind has limits. You aren't evil or failing your comrades for saving some of your energy for yourself. You're a better comrade when you are a healthy comrade.

Someone had posted this video about Cuba's new breakthrough treatment for Alzheimer’s a while back. It's just one example of the fact that AES countries continue to move humanity forward in the right direction, and will continue to do so, regardless of the backwardness of capitalist/imperialist countries and their atrocities. It's important to remember that there are good things happening in the world, even if it doesn't feel like it a lot of the time.

That being said, I agree with what others have suggested about logging off. To maintain our mental health and stamina for a prolonged revolutionary struggle, we need to have some other hobbies that aren't directly related to news/politics.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

You may consider "touching grass", which I interpret as staying away from news to reduce anxiety, spending time with friends & family, doing some sport, taking up a hobby, studying something not directly related to politics (science or philosophy for example)...

Burnout is real and we need us healthy for the revolution ❤️

Doing that on the daily yeah, it's just hard to avoid the anxiety currently since there are real material changes happening all around me because of what is happening.
