let's keep dumb blonde jokes (implicit in "barbie") out of our insults please.

[–] BeatTakeshi@lemmy.world 12 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

When was she upgraded from Nazi Barbie to Bullshit Barbie though? I disagree

[–] T00l_shed@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago

The nazi barbie who spews bullshit? Fair compromise?

[–] El_Azulito@lemmy.world 4 points 18 hours ago

She also looks like Joseph Smith’s youngest wife.

[–] KingPorkChop@lemmy.ca 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What else do you expect from a DEI hire?

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 9 points 18 hours ago

Like the entire team, except that one guy who's a DUI hire

[–] Gowron_Howard@lemm.ee 31 points 1 day ago (1 children)

This would be the beginning and end of her career if it wasn’t for Fox “news”. She’s writing her resume every day she gets up and lies on camera.

[–] Sprawl@lemmy.world 7 points 18 hours ago

She’s so gonna end up a “news anchor” one day, huh?

[–] Tempus_Fugit@midwest.social 41 points 1 day ago (1 children)

And it's Christians like this that made me an atheist. The most evil and worst of hypocrites.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 11 hours ago

Well for me, it's the complete lack of evidence of anything supernatural.

But yes, shit like this just reminds me that I made the right call.

[–] originalucifer@moist.catsweat.com 78 points 1 day ago (2 children)

needs a bigger cross so we know shes christian... while she ignores all the cut services for poor people.

[–] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 28 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Jesus was actually opposed to wealth and gaudy shows of religiousity.

These people are heretics.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 11 hours ago

Oh please. This is what American Christianity is now, whether you like it or not. No amount of "No True Scotsman"ing can change that.

[–] Sektor@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

Poor people are actually not so much people as real people. For them it's best to be slaves, actually.

How do you know when Donald Trump is telling a lie?

His face turns orange.

[–] InputZero@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

If his mouth is open, he's lying

[–] HexPat@lemm.ee 48 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Her ‘plus sign’ necklace is way bigger than most I’ve seen.

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

The percentage of area on someone's* look that's taken up by (the voluntary application of**) religious symbols exponentially correlates with how much of an absolute bell-end said person is.

* I guess clergy are partially exempt given it's a uniform

** I know there are some poor people out there forced to make their entire look a religious symbol. They're definitely exempt.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 11 hours ago

I guess clergy are partially exempt given it’s a uniform

Are they though?

[–] ShellMonkey@lemmy.socdojo.com 18 points 1 day ago

Got to make sure the cameras in the back pick it up. Just the usual iconography and standardized blonde talking head they trot out to remind people what they should look like in their version of murica.

[–] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 1 day ago (3 children)
[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I've never seen this version, it's fascinating:

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you build tombs for the prophets your ancestors killed, and you decorate the monuments of the godly people your ancestors destroyed. 30 Then you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would never have joined them in killing the prophets.’

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 11 hours ago

It's almost like, when you translate a work of fiction dozens of times, you can end up making it mean whatever you want it to mean.

I don't even understand why reporters show up at this point.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago

Directives from their republiQan owners

Don't worry, soon they'll stop doing press briefings like they did in the first Trump term, which apparently everyone has forgotten about.

[–] Infynis@midwest.social 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Because not showing up is what the administration wants.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 11 hours ago

I mean... maybe it's what the overall P2025 movement people want, but I could see Trump losing his goddamn mind if he walked out for a press conference one day and the room was just empty.

[–] iridebikes@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Even worse. I don't know why they show up and pretend to be journalists. They are just propaganda mouthpieces anymore. And they have no loyalty to each other as journalists. If one of them gets ignored by the White House they just allow it and move on rather than imagining themselves as the target instead. It's sick. This country is absolutely fucked and the populace is to blame.

[–] Gerudo@lemm.ee 15 points 1 day ago (2 children)

And I bet that the remaining 17% is pretty questionable

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

That's probably the "and" "but" "of" and "the" parts.

[–] GuyFawkes@midwest.social 5 points 1 day ago

That’s when she remembers the “allegedy”’s and “we believe”’s.

[–] gargolito@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That huge cross on her neck makes it A-OK.

[–] GuyFawkes@midwest.social 14 points 1 day ago

Surprised it’s not burning her skin.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I'll say this, they found exactly who they needed for that job.

[–] JesusTheCarpenter@feddit.uk 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I wish there was a source for this. Not that I doubt it but I would love to use it to show it to a friend of mine that still struggles to see how deceitful is the current administration.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 11 hours ago

That might be the largest "References" section I've ever seen on a wiki article... 605 references.

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 5 points 1 day ago

Holy shit that's a loooooong article

[–] Boxscape@lemmy.sdf.org 12 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

Don't worry she's wearing a cross, it's all good

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago (3 children)

At the least she should be jailed for years once this is over.

She's complicit in destroying hundreds of thousands of lives at the least

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

AwShuckabees got a governorship. She can get that easy probably in some shithole state.

Is there any difference between the plus sign she wears and the plus sign with the guy hanging on? Do they both mean the same thing?

As an aside I sometimes work alongside the International Red Cross and Red Crescent - fantastic people on the whole. Our group is mind-blowingly diverse. The only thing we seem to have in common is that none of us are (particularly) religious. We refer to the ICRC as “Cee plus” from the crescent and cross motifs.
