Insider trading to make his masters get even richer and give them control of the country. Dissolve public institutions, then tank the economy so billionaires can buy up everything at an insane discount.

Too bad it's all imaginary. yet somehow despite being imaginary it has real consequence.

I purposefully pulled my entire 401k to try to keep the train rolling.

[–] pennomi@lemmy.world 31 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I just got done reading a post about 40k (Warhammer) and got sad that you had to pull your entire army off the field.

I mean I guess pulling your 401k is a sign of impending doom too.

It's settled I'm moving my 401k over to 40k it's a better long term investment

I forgot what meme I was looking at and how obvious this was lol, I thought I was so clever for reading it that way the first time.

Everything's gonna fall down to the ground and turn grey!

[–] Aux@feddit.uk 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That looks an awful lot like a pandemic mini crash. If you invest in ETF right now, you'll make shit loads of money out of thin air next year.

[–] 10001110101@lemm.ee 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Not sure if serious. Recession is almost certain, and the only fiscal "stimulus" that's likely to come is tax cuts. Will probably turn into a depression. But even the Great Depression had a huge amount of fiscal stimulus and progressive reforms to help get out of it. Not to mention, the crashing of the economy appears to be purposeful:

[–] Aux@feddit.uk 4 points 2 weeks ago

Pretty serious. Recessions affect different layers of the economy at different times. First markets crash, but your income and job security stays the same. Then markets plateau, but workers start losing jobs. Finally, markets start to grow again, but you're still living under the bridge.

If you're not a billionaire, this is the best time to invest - you still have a job, but markets are going down rapidly. You won't have cash later on.

Honestly, let it all fall. I'm only just about to start investing, this just looks like the best buy opportunity of my life.
