Movie synopsis sound so much more interesting when they just use the actor’s name.

It's even better when you use the actors' other parts. "A lost astronaut fights his way back home to save the hidden princess of Genovia from Batman."

Meanwhile, Spider-Man searches for his father

We all know Matt Damon's greatest role was that dude who sang "Scotty Doesn't Know" in Eurotrip.

It’s much more entertaining when read from the perspective of the early-mid 00s. Today, these are all mature, respected actors, but ~~25~~ 20 years ago this headline would’ve sounded much more goofy.

25 years ago we would have been like 'who the hell is Robert Pattinson?'

[–] homes@piefed.world 5 points 2 months ago

Oops, I guess I overshot with that one. I guess I meant about 20 years ago. I fixed it.

Wait...Matt Damon is NOT the one being rescued? What is even happening?!?

[–] wjrii@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

He is, he's just doing it himself.

I don't know about this, the dialogue seems a bit silly and it's really taking me out how many known actors are in it. I can't help but see "Robert Pattinson talking to Tom Holland" instead of who they're supposed to be.

That's what I thought too. I think it would've worked better with lesser-known actors.

This is the prequel for spiderman: brand new day.

Fun Mythology Fact: in some versions of the myth Penelope bangs all her suitors instead of being boring and waiting endlessly for a presumably dead dude

Can Robert Pattinson take a break? Take up a hobby or something?

They aren't rocks, they're minerals

Just too much of him lately. On the plus side, he's better than Timothy chalamet, but I still see too much of him recently.

[–] GeeDubHayduke@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Can he take Pedro Pascal, too? No hate, I'm just so tired of him everywhere. He was in my shower when i went to take a leak last night.

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

LMAO yeah I like Pedro, and Walton goggins, but God damn, take a break guys. I get striking while the iron is hot, you want to stay relevant and make a big contract for the next one. But it may be the wiser thing to stretch it out and stay viable longer so people don't get tired of em. And nobody expected the last of us and fallout to be as big as they were. I can't really blame them... Except Waltons Walmart commercials.

Ah, a relatable story for the ages, of course.
