without recent Eurovision I wouldn’t have found out about Tommy cash or Joost but yeah honestly fuck Eurovision, I recently watched a video showing all winners and losers side its conception and something I’ve noticed:

not only has Israel won with mediocre at best performances, probably only as an excuse to have Eurovision hosted there to help socially legitimize the colonial settler state, they have won with some god awful fucking performances and that alone should disqualify them. Seriously the one that won a few years ago was laughably bad, kinda lends credit to my unfounded theory that they let certain countries win for the optics… there’s also the noticeable shift away from the winning countries speaking the native languages of their country, and appealing to western audiences by singing in English. Last one seems to be getting better tho.

Let kneecap in this year, maybe a Palestinian and some northern African artists in. then I’ll watch
