Getting the steam deck to run Xbox games is a pain in the ass so this doing that out of the box rules

i have a friend who has an ally and had a steamdeck prior to it and he says he likes the ally better which surprised me. but then he subscribes to gamepass and that's how he plays all his games so i guess that makes a fair amount of sense because the ally supposedly works better with windows

it looks like a current gen ROG Ally but they allowed the xbox team to inject more code into the bloated carcass of windows. unfortunately, Goomers™ consider the steam deck hardware outdated (they can't get 60 fake frames of bouncing teenage titties in their favourite hentai game).

as for normal people, it's a windows device which supports gamepass and has near perfect compatibility with any game, it'll also probably have a nice sleek UI and they said they are turning all the non essential features off (not the forced telemetry though of course). if they managed to actually do that then the slight performance increase of linux and the longer battery life advantage will be gone.

i actually think it'll sell well. people are already talking about it (if not for the silksong footage). of course it wouldn't be Microsoft without selling an underpowered machine with the same exact shape and the same name just without the X on the front, just to terrorise the poor kid that got this from their mom, who thought the white one look cuter and they are basically the same and the kid shouldn't complain. well they are not the same mom!!

its a different CPU than the first ROG Ally. The YT video says its a Z2, ROG Ally had a Z1.
