Post guidelines

Title formatPost title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL formatPost URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefixOpinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.

First of all, all of these eye computers are dumb, but at least Meta's Ray Bans look more or less like normal glasses. Even Google Glass was sleeker looking than these, and that was 13 years ago. I don't know what Snap is thinking.

Nobody dared to tell the emperor that he was nude.

Same as with Meta and their ridiculous Metaverse. Call it toxic positivity, call it fear of top management (who can snip with a finger to fire and blacklist you), whatever the reason is, decision makers at these companies are out of touch. Same with AI these days.

AR glasses have the potential to be really cool but it seems hard to pull off properly without wraparounds or something similar. I don't get the hate, the article seems particularly harsh. Is something wrong with the company?
