They are right to be angry that capitalism has taken away their time, stability, and community to the extent they can't raise children, and the supposed solution is immigration rather than giving people time to be human.
It would be nice if they could put two and two together, but that would be bad for the stock market, so xenophobia it is.

It has to be done slowly and controlled, you can’t just admit thousands at a time and as in Canada’s case, not all from one country.
Immigration is excellent when done methodically and carefully, but can be very unpopular when greed takes over.
