I hate this fucking guy but I must admit I am immediately a fan of that dog

[–] glitch1985@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Dog would probably do a better job tbh.

[–] regdog@lemmy.world 28 points 3 days ago (1 children)

It's the real Holden Bloodfeast!

[–] not_woody_shaw@lemmy.world 67 points 3 days ago (4 children)

How can he be a business owner AND a politician? That's a clear conflict of interest.

How can he be a business owner AND a politician?

Because voters trust him.

https://www.propublica.org/article/this-governor-still-guides-his-billion-dollar-business-empire-even-though-he-said-he-wouldnt

The real question is why do they trust him?

[–] modernangel@sh.itjust.works 11 points 3 days ago

they don't - it's not about trust, it's just spitefully gravitating to whatever "makes liberal heads explode".

[–] Shindo66@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

They probably trust him because their livelihoods are tied to coal, the same as him. He probably makes bold statements about keeping coal flowing and jobs going.

[–] TronBronson@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Everyone loves a captive audience

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

That’s a clear conflict of interest.

I'll give you one guess as to which party he's a member of and how little they care about conflicts of interest.

Hint: It's the party currently directly violating our Constitution by allowing the president to violate the Emoluments Clause.

Reminder: They are only able to do this because voters keep giving them power, despite constantly providing us reasons why we shouldn't.

That and non voters refuse to do anything to curb this too.

[–] crunchy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 3 days ago

Because we can trust them to run the country like a business: straight into the ground.

[–] aaa999@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

bad people made the wrong moral choice voluntarily to give him power

Is that the Whitespring Resort from Fallout 76?!

[–] CriticalThought@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Had to look it up, and apparently it is!

[–] modernangel@sh.itjust.works 29 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

he sounds like somebody who's really in touch with my concerns and cares about my community

lol

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 11 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I can't imagine a person more for the people than a person with hundreds of millions of dollars. Are you worried about the cost of milk? Why didn't you become a hundred-millionaire if you cared so much about milk?

People are so lazy.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 day ago

It's a gallon of milk, how much could it cost like $10?

Senator for West Virginia

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

I feel sorry for his bulldog. The wealthiest senator leading one of the poorest and neglected states in the USA.

[–] GarboDog@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

What a horribly ugly ass creature, bet it shits itself anywhere it goes and fucking humps any woman in its wake.

Hope the cute baby doggy gets a better owner, they don’t deserve such filth

[–] BreadOven@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Not gonna lie. You had me there haha.

[–] GarboDog@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Oh thank goodness our joke went through haha Yeah, the doggy is cute af

[–] ShotDonkey@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

Villains used to have white angora cats on their lap. But this will do.

[–] PugJesus@piefed.social 22 points 3 days ago

Fire the Senator, replace him with his dog.

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 4 points 2 days ago

The bulldog is there to make him seem humanish.

[–] CoolSouthpaw@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

What a piece of shit.

[–] birdwing@lemmy.blahaj.zone 16 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] iilwl@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 3 days ago

The state of WV is full of it. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to change the votes or general attitudes of many mountaineers and their politics.

[–] schwim@piefed.zip 13 points 3 days ago

A fat white old man hoarding wealth while running the country into the ground? That's so rare.

[–] actionjbone@sh.itjust.works 11 points 3 days ago (1 children)

[–] actionjbone@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 days ago

Even evil men might be kind to animals sometimes.

[–] Nosavingthrow@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago

He doesn't deserve a dog like that.

[–] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

Eat the rich!

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

Hey y'all. He's a member of....

Aww fuck it. We don't even need to look it up. We already know which party he's a member of.

[–] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

He's one of the good ones!

He hasn't raped even one little kid. o7

(women and bulldogs... no comment)

[–] blazeknave@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Does he fuck the dog or make his wife do it?

[–] Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 days ago

I hope the bulldog sleeps in bed with him and nicely leans against his face slowly suffocating him.

[–] GraniteM@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

What a disgusting, slobbery, drooling, wheezing, farting, affront to the basic precepts of nature.

The dog seems nice, though.

[–] GeorgeLightning@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

An ENGLISH Bulldog?! Revoke Jim's citizenship immediately!

"Aww, cute dog!" reads caption "Oh."

[–] lime@feddit.nu 3 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)
