As an experiment to see if I can just rapidly cultivate it in a tiny area. It's been growing like crazy and I haven't needed to do basically anything.

I've been meaning to do [something like] this for a while. Bought the stuff... yet to get around to it. Maybe seeing this shall inspire making a start. Thanks. :)

Looking forward to updates in a little while, on how it's going.

Ah yes, the herpes of the freshwater aquarium world. What are you doing with it?

Treating it like a video game min/maxing, if the goal was the grow biomass as fast as possible with the least amount of effort possible. Unfortunately I don't have any ducks to feed it to, maybe my dog will eat it? He likes eating grass sometimes.

Humans can eat it too. Remarkable nutrient profile, high in protein, omega3 and b12, for a plant. Probably best to cook and drain out as much of the oxalates as possible though. I'm getting notions of duckweed & cottage cheese.

Reminds me of when I proudly bred guppies/millionsfish.

Then I found out that people pay good money to try not to breed guppies.

So what you're saying is I should put guppies in there and breed them?

Here's the small cup I had it in earlier today.
