ME/CFS.

It imposes a strict stamina limit. If you go over the stamina limit your energy levels will be reduced, you'll get dizzy, feel ill, get headaches, etc. If you go over too much or too often, your stamina is permanently reduced and you start taking physical damage. You won't know if you've gone over the limit until a couple of days later.

Shitty design. Totally ruins gameplay.

Man, same. It's also caused central dysautonomia, so I've got random problems like POTS, hyperhidrosis, digestive problems, and on and on.

It's the worst. Let's hope they patch it.

Inattentive adhd. My mind likes to go on little vacations.

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago

Having to make a concentration savings throw for every action is ridiculous.

Rolling with disadvantage if it is something I don't want to do is even worse.

[–] ArchmageAzor@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

AuDHD is keeping me from learning new skills, forming routines, and overall following my dreams in favor of doing stuff that grants immediate dopamine.

IPAH

Permanent debuff to stamina.
Permanent Fatigued status.
Difficult terrain is now Greater difficult terrain.

Requires daily potion, if potion is missed or unable to be obtained, stamina is set to 0 and cannot rise until the next potion is taken. You are also Sickened 1 and cannot be rid of this until the next potion is taken.

Spells with a verbal component now require a DC 5 flat check. On a failure, the spell fails and you are Suffocating. The check increases to a DC 11 while in Difficult Terrain.

Permanent Fatigued status

Sound like me. Except I don't have enough stamina to go to the wizard to get some potions to negate these debuffs (antidepressants)

When my introverted social battery is below 70%, I believe I'm generally not a fun person to hang out with

[–] zxqwas@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

Laziness. Every day roll a d20. If I roll less than 5 suffer -5 initiative, -5% experience gain, -5 will save until next long rest.

[–] Broadfern@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Proneness to migraines.

Too much stress or noise can set off a constant -1 to -5 hit to stamina/health for up to 10 hours. Perception is up but Intelligence takes a dive. Also takes extra food to regain what was lost, but selection is limited due to nausea. Can be counteracted with coffee and acetaminophen if hit early enough, else it goes to Migraine+.

Migraine+ includes extra weakness to light and insomnia, meaning spell slots can’t be reset until the debuff wears off. Migraine+ can last up to two weeks.

[–] truite@jlai.lu 10 points 2 days ago

Same here. Trigger by perfume too. And effort. Intensive effort, migraine +.

But the most difficult is the permanent brain fog. I became dumber and slower since I have chronic migraines.

So yeah, migraines are my best debuff, event if I have others.

Diagnosed with GERD

Constant burping throughout day

I can't sleep properly at night without burping for 30 minutes

Prone to heartburns

Forced to have a healthy diet

Cuz of said burping, teeth and gums are exposed to more acid, so I'm also forced to have good dental hygiene

Constantly feel bloated with air

Generally just a constant feeling of unwell, and whenever you do something or smell something that might cause you to gag or feel like puking, i feel it ten times harder (based on experience)

[–] blarghly@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Chronic insomnia and anxiety. This leads to me basically never recovering well and always being tired. Which then leads to overuse injuries, lack of brainpower, constant fatigue, depressed mood, poor performance, and more anxiety.

Whenever I get 3 good nights sleep in a row I feel like life is amazing and I have superpowers.

[–] TheReanuKeeves@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Ugh i know what you mean man. Although those times where I'm up for 48+ hours feels good in a "I'm high but not on drugs kinda way"

[–] neidu3@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Running on 30 minutes of sleep, and my work day is about to start. Luckily I work from home, and once I've cleared my morning inbox I think I will crawl into bed.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Running on 30 minutes of sleep

Self inflicted or nah

[–] neidu3@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Combination of a 5 year old wanting to sleep next to her parents, and a heatwave. I chose to stay on the couch in an attempt to let my GF at least get some sleep before work. It's a comfortable couch, but not for sleeping.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Ah, I see. We're lucky in that our 4 and 6 year olds have always slept in their own beds. Barring any nightmares and such.

But the heat won't let me sleep regardless of any kids in the bed. 😩

[–] LaunchesKayaks@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Lupus. Go out into the sun and immediately start losing hp. And my own body just decides that I'm a virus and tries to exterminate me.

[–] Little8Lost@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago
[–] Nemo@slrpnk.net 3 points 2 days ago

Chronic intermittent tinnitus, often accompanied by headaches or vertigo.
