Having a nice place to eat while you charge your car is a good idea. I just don’t know that something like this has to be owned by the actual car companies.

Most people charge at home unless they are on a road trip, so placing stuff like this along the highways is the way to do it. Yet Starbucks, McDonald’s, Sonic, and other usual highway stops only have a handful of chargers in the US. For some reason chargers are mostly ending up at gas stations and Wal Mart parking lots. Some of the last places you want to stop at.

Fuel stations likely make more money off coffee and food than fuel, so no surprise they'd jump at the chance to have a captive audience for half an hour.
