I go through phases of this for sure.

i think you're describing depression perfectly
contact your doctor or therapist, i'm sure they can help
Go on, it will get better. Do stuff for yourself. Don't blame yourself.
But as to the question. Worse. Far worse. Will get better again. Had a very bad start of the week and neither work nor health are kind to me.
I have felt this at various levels and degrees many times. Including right now. Are you familiar with anhedonia?
Just googled. Yep I get that a lot!
Don't try to live an enjoyable life. Try to live a meaningful life. Look for people you have a lot of respect for, and try to do what they do, or participate in their cause. Make some sort of progress, whatever that means for your circumstances.
I've felt that my entire life, it feels like.
I just try to savor the moments of bliss, peace, or fun I come across and use them to help me through the drudgery. Eventually if you do things right you worm out a little comfortable niche.
Do something enjoyable then. I know that's easier said than done, but list things that you've always wanted to do, and do as many as you can. If you need, lower your expectations, or budget, or whatever so that those goals are achievable.
Let me second this and emphasize the following:
- do anything
- do it whenever you have even the slightest impulse to do it
- do it for as long as you want to, even if it seems like no time at all
- do it for yourself
... then stop.
Do what you want, then stop when you aren't having fun. You can come back to these later when the impulse comes again.
This is great advice as long as you can find pleasure.
This has what's gotten me through. I recommend that everyone have a creative outlet. The second-hand market is great.
