I agree that the manner this was presented at the 2013 Webbys, which kickstarted the debate, was jokingly, but the specifications have always recommended "jiff" since the format's inception, though also a bit jokingly:

Wilhite and the team who developed the file format included in the technical specifications that the acronym was to be pronounced with a soft g. In the specifications, the team wrote that "choosy programmers choose ... 'jif'", in homage to the peanut butter company Jif's advertising slogan of "choosy moms choose Jif".[3]

no, this is just the software files packaged by a random internet user. to me it looks like the packager just plain messed up and the app is actually just <1.3 GB large

clicking through folders in filelight, upscayl-git takes up 115.2 GB space out of the cache directory's 129.6 GB total, and every two layer the next layer's size decreases by ~1.3 GB the tree file list of the director folders heavily indents itself and just keeps getting longer and longer and never ends ls -l shows it's not a symlink

it's also wrong™, but i think attraction is a complicated thing and unlikely to be extrinsically changed after it forms. not that the process of said formation is free from bigotry exposed to, but shaming people for certain attractions instead of, say, focusing on improving representation, inclusivity, and normalization in the environment is more likely to make them fodder and supporters for bigotry. though attraction biases are a symptom of bigotry, this is one of those cases imo where it's much better to treat the cause over the symptom.

When Moore shot at Ford with a .38 revolver, narrowly missing Ford, Sipple dove towards her and grabbed her arm;[8] [...] Initial news reports noted that Sipple was a former Marine, but did not mention that he was gay.[10] [...] two phone messages identifying Sipple as gay. One was from Reverend Ray Broshears, the head of a gay activist group called the Lavender Panthers.[12] The other was from local gay activist Harvey Milk, a friend of Sipple on whose city council campaign Sipple had worked.[12] Milk wanted to portray Sipple as a "gay hero" to help "break the stereotype of homosexuals [as] timid, weak and unheroic figures";[5][6][8] he told a friend, "It's too good an opportunity. For once we can show that gays do heroic things, not just all that caca about molesting children and hanging out in bathrooms."[11] According to historian Harold Evans, "[T]here was no invitation to the White House for Sipple, not even a commendation.
