I sincerely hope my party, Plaid Cymru, and our brothers and sisters in the SNP and Sinn Fein follow suit soon.

Firefly!

I don't think I'll ever be able to shift the feeling that we were robbed of more.

Edit - Realised I misread the title, was indeed cancelled not completed.

Hate to see people's fears being absolutely spot on here. These companies have no real way or financial incentive to keep our data safe.

It's absolutely insane how tone-deaf this appears considering that a large portion of the Jewish population in the UK are actually involved in many of these protests.

Starmer and his team unfortunately have a history of completely ignoring anything that comes out of conference.

The annual conference has voted for voting reforms a number of times now for example but the leadership just ignores them.

I'm glad that he's calling a spade a spade here, it's long overdue, but for god sakes man actually fucking do something about it???

He's the prime minister and the leader of what was once one of the largest socialist parties in Europe - Where are the radical solutions?

You don't fight fascism with "I promise not to be fascist guys"' you actually fucking do something. Sweeping wealth taxes, universal basic income, electoral reform, actually improve people's lives and they'll stop looking to extremist idiots for answers.

Backpack Battles

Very fun strategic game, there are MTX in the game, but they're not necessary to play in the slightest.

I have bought a few things to support the Devs though.

Appreciate this, I'll look into ghost, thank you.

Absolutely fair enough and I appreciate you letting me know. There is a bit of irony in you linking me a substack article in your response about how you refuse to read my substack article, but I'll leave that be haha.

For the record Lemmy has had a Nazi problem for a bit and a problem with CSAM material as well, if that's a hard stopping point for you, and fair enough if it is, you should probably start looking elsewhere.

Unfortunately not the first time this has happened. I've worked with a number of Welsh specific publications that have been left high and dry by Labour when it comes to conference.

How the hell is Trump a communist? What is she smoking damn.

The support for capitalism over all else is expected, neoliberals do little else, but this level of delusion? Worrying.

Hello all,

I posted recently here asking for advice switching to Linux from Windows, and wow there was a lot of really great advice.

I'm mostly writing here to thank everyone in this community for taking the time, it was a world of help and I've managed to get myself setup with very few difficulties.

I ended up going with Bazzite, and can play like 95% of my gaming library so I'm pretty happy there. No league of legends but honestly that's probably a net positive for my mental health.

I'm having difficulty getting docker desktop setup but I'm sure I'll figure that out, had a lot of shit containerised before. But yeah, whole point of the post - Thanks people, you're awesome.

Afternoon all.

I'm looking to make the switch away from Windows, and I wondered if people had any advice, distro suggestions and so on.

My main use cases for my PC are Gaming, Writing and Image editing. Things I'd love to have working are all my games, Epic, Steam, GoG and Game pass. I already use OpenOffice so I'm probably fine with that. And I currently use Photoshop, so a good alternative for that would be good. Finally Spotify, Discord and VPNs etc

Any and all help and suggestions would be welcomed, thanks in advance.
