Greenland is so bad but its a nice guilty pleasure. It does not convey the actual panic and shit show that would ensue in that situation. The soldiers are just like "oh well the world is ending... lets help all the rich people escape and totally function better than we do in much less critical situations". Gerard Butler also causes a cargo plane of (rich) people to blow up. Its so bad but its so ridiculous in the way a disaster slop movie should be.

One of the wierd things I hyperfocus on is aviation disasters. I know way too much about plane crashes and am always learning more.
Men are so much more likely to cause plane crashes, mainly because they are overconfident. Take the worst airplane crash of all time, 1977 in Tenerife. The KLM pilot was impatient and overconfident. He rushed takeoff in zero visibility and got 583 people killed. His copilot did not push back on the impatient pilot, mainly because he was a poster boy for KLM. The pilot was featured in their brochure as an expert aviator and it made him a bit of a celebrity in the company. His ego, and it being fed by KLM, got hundreds killed.

Yup, I've already seen that reaction. Pretty awesome that they ignore the fact there are more democrats in Florida than states like Washington, Oregon, Colorado or other states that are seen as liberal. Nope, if you have a GOP governor then everyone in the state automatically becomes GOP...
I do like Veritaseum in part because their production quality is at the level of the old Discovery channel or 2000s TV in general when it was more documentary style than the reality tv style it became in the 2010s and ever since. I'm glad someone is still making quality nerdy, informative shit I can watch.
