I've found that not many food items in my local shops are american, most of them are in fact European already. Especially if you buy the low price brands/the stores own brands. It's very simple and affordable to deal with. However, the switch to linux instead of windows, has been proven to be more difficult for me. I haven't done it yet. I have flashed the drive and tested, but not committed. This is, however, something I really want to do. Due to ethical reasons. However, I'm finding the discussion to move more business to Europe encouraging. To have european alternatives to credit cards and so forth. It is good that Europe is finally taking action. We do need to have the discussion about electricity and oil and gas though. If we choose to switch over to more EV's we will need to produce more electricity, quickly. There are fast and easy green ways to do this. And we need to push for this. Boycotting little ol' companies is a fart in the ocean of what we actually import. So I'd say, take it with a grain of salt. Do what you can. But have the real discussions. We are boycotting to send a message. But eventually we will have to think about the real issues, just like Europe should've done many years ago.

Don't get distracted.

I also want to share na interesting video about the subject. A possible explanation. It's a possibility. Maybe not the whole story, but an interesting take.

This is not what the article is about.

But to reply to your statement; russian people have come up with many good things. Litterature, poetry, music, science... The list goes on. Russia is not excluded from inventing och being creative. Russian things and people are not exclusively bad because they're russian.

I haven't seen anybody acting terrified. Psychological operations have been a thing since forever, from every country ever. It's not new. What is new however, is the technology. How it can seep in to your day without you even knowing, if you are not prepared to tackle the information that is. However, ones want to seek the truth can also be manipulated. This is new. Making dumb people feel smart and relying on false facts. So, stay informed and relaxed. Never act out of fear or stress.

also, what does based mean on this context? That it is basic? Too simple for you? .. ok 🤷 idk what you want me to do about this Information.

"More generally, Russian influence operations are Russian-affiliated activities targeting public opinion and influencing decision-making in directions favourable to the Kremlin. Standard methods use social media to promote rumours, insinuations, altered facts, and lies."

I've come to the realisation that boycotting google, completely, is impossible. It works fine on the computer and for some apps on the phone, but it's very difficult for a smart TV

The problem starts at the very beginning. To even start using the tv, I must have a Gmail to log in. I have to have a Gmail/log in to Google to use the Google Store.. Google Store? Yes! Because it's not possible (for me at least) to install f-droid or aurora store. I'm aware of the fact that I can't do everything... But it irks me. Does anybody have any tips for how to get around this? Currently I'm considering getting a hdmi cable and use the tv as a computer monitor... But then we're in the territory of having to buy a lot of new things to boycott. Wich, of course, is also not the best solution.

However, I'll add to this that this irks me. But it's not as big of a problem as buying Russian and American oil and gas.

Quote and picture is from batman begins. I recommend giving it a watch

Does anybody know if when using Windows on a computer but not paying for anything windows related: is windows/ Bill Gates profiting from it? Is it worth installing linux as a protest?

Hello, I'm looking for a USB memory stick that is European. Anybody got any tips?
