Homemade strawberry cheesecake overnight oats. Rolled oats, oat milk, strawberries, chia seeds, monkfruit sweetener. Mix it all together and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Crumbled graham crackers or granola on top for a crunch.

So good, and better for me than I've cream.

And yup, there were 4 people who walked right down to the waters edge after we were just warned that sneaker waves were not uncommon.

On a trip to Iceland, was hiking with my mom. I see a spot I want a photo in so I hand her my phone and trek out there. It was a small outcropping at the same height of the trail, overlooking some gulleys. Others had been out there because there was a worn path.

I'm standing out there for my photo, and some wind blows through. It picked me up off my feet. Like, I was weightless and severed from the ground for a few seconds.

I knew in that moment I was going to die. The wind would carry me over the edge and down to the gully below. Luckily, it didn't last long enough to do that, and dropped me back on my feet, but I was so close to death, I could feel it.

People, the Icelandic wind is no joke. There was no uptick to warn me, no dirt or grass or whatever whipping around. It wasn't A windy day. It was just no wind, then sudden wind strong enough able to pick up a 190lb woman clear off the earth.

I kept to the main trail after that.

I was a freshman in high school when I found out, and I was dumbfounded. I'd always chalked the wonky scenes up to being a culturally Japanese thing. And anime in itself was more "effeminate" overall than anything we had in America.

I was shocked, but it all suddenly made sense. I was fine with it. Early 2000s where I lived at the time was pretty accepting. I had friends in high school who were openly gay, and no one bothered them about it.

I think now it's pretty wild that sailor moon was even on the air back then, though. There were definitely series they could have played that wouldn't have to edit out huge chunks just to keep in line with broadcast regulations. The fact it got airtime at all is astounding. I mean, I'm happy it did, because SM is awesome, but still.
