You had your local version of Notre Dame fire.

Just hope everyone was OK in the end

Overbook the session with like 5 players so even if 2 are missing, they're still 3.

Accept that character may disappear, sometimes you'll find role-play reason Being stuck with paperwork, family, duty sometimes you don't (But there is a kind of acceptance in not challenging why suddenly a PC disappeared in the middle of a dungeon when they're player isn't here)

Considering how bad the housing crisis is in France, I can't imagine the British situation.

Minimum sentences sounds like pretty bad. There is cases of legally wrong, morally right. Think about killing your violent spouse which while not being within the limit of self-defence is pretty different from killing your spouse. It's the job of criminal lawyer and prosecutors to come with reason to give a lighter/harder sentence and the judge job to listen to this arguments, compared with similar cases and sentence guideline to give the fairest sentence possible.

A person who seek therapy, pay penalties to the victim, has now a job, and already try to be a better person at the time of sentencing has nothing to do in jail

As any other problems, it's an issue with political will

  • Have minimum delivery fee to force people to visit physical store over "online shopping" and promote farmer marker and city-centre (village-centre) shopping so people interact with each other

  • End-up US style suburbanization, these nice house in a quiet area are great to sleep-in but means you're away from every social activity, and when you're too young/too old to drive it turns into house arrest

  • Increase subsidises for non profit-club, especially for the one having under 25 and above 65 members If you go playing scrabble, theatre or practice Karate you stop being lonely

  • Carpooling parking and lanes to push worker to interact with people living nearby

I was recently a bit surprise by seeing video of RPG tables where everyone has a laptop, and I even saw a thread about whether GM allowing only paper sheet are reasonable

However, on my experience (and I am part of big club, so I interact with a lot of players), some GM have a laptop or tablet especially in the era of .pdf books, but most player would use only paper.

So I am curious what's your take on electronic device, is it fully banned at your table, a GM only tool, a stuff that some player may use for note taking ? Or do you use VTT technology like you would online when playing in person ?
