Thank you to everyone who commented! I'm digesting all of what has been said and will be adjusting the guide as I can. If you're able, donations are welcome! (See link on the site)

Do you know if there is any interest in resurrecting it?

Good question! I know Wallabag has some eReader integrations through KOReader. People on Kobo devices seem to like it especially. There may be other options too. I'll look at this some more! I'd appreciate anyone sharing details that they know too.

Still a work in progress, but even at this stage, I hope it can help you and anyone you know who has been affected by the Pocket shutdown.

I do sometimes, when I know the tech stack. (I wonder if GitHub Copilot could help in other situations?)

For example, I've been learning more about FreshRSS and Wallabag (especially now that Pocket is shutting down).

In any case, with open source, I trust that someone looks at it.

Pocket is shutting down on July 8th, but you can retake control of your reading with Wallabag, a self-hostable read-it-later app.

For RSS, try FreshRSS--simple, private, and available to run however you'd like.

The tools are out there. The web can still be yours.

Well, it can be the last version of Windows for you. 🙂

Ubuntu is nice. I use it daily. Others in my family too. And there are other options too. I hear Mint is nice though I haven't used it much.

Give it some thought. 🙂
