Good for you! For GTA VI, I definitely wanna play it as quickly as possible and £70 is a pretty reasonable price for that.

[–] biscuit@lemdro.id 0 points 3 weeks ago (4 children)

Huh? For £70 I'm getting -

  • Huge open world
  • Very fun and emergent gameplay
  • Likely a world with multiple competing systems and subsystems to play with
  • Incredibly detailed world to get lost and immersed in
  • Given the RDR2 writing, likely a really well written story

But you've decided to latch onto one aspect of the previous game (the Online mode) to try to be as contrarian as possible?

I sure as heck will pay £70 for the above. And so will many millions of others. Sorry if that does a poo on your hate-train.

Weird vibes in this comment section.

Are you seriously questioning whether there is any hype for GTA?

GTAV Online may have hindered Rockstar's goodwill for fans of the single player mode, but the Online mode rakes in cash.

RDR2 released in 2018 and is widely considered one of the best single player games with one of the best open worlds, strongly signalling to fans that Rockstar hasn't lost its mojo.

GTA VI is, unquestionably, the most anticipated game of the year. To suggest otherwise is to be insanely disingenuous on your part.

I just don't have the patience to wait even more. I have a PS5, so why wouldn't I play it on release??

That's Russia!

I would like to never see this image again.

for when you don't host your own server but you use theirs

Considering this service would be used predominantly for pirated games, I imagine they're not willing to open that can of worms.

Clearly not enough, if they're desperate enough to lock client-side features behind a subscription.

Please learn some facts about how the CMA operates before discounting it.

The CMA is independent from the government - it does not have a minister calling the shots.

The encryption stuff is coming from the Home Office, which is directly government controlled.

The CMA and the Home Office aren't working together at all - they don't even share an office.

This is not "the government" saying this. It's the independent competition and markets regulator known as the CMA which, whilst publicly funded, isn't run by the government.

Looks like the designs of the Pixel 10 series have leaked. Pretty much identical to the Pixel 9 series, unsurprisingly.

The latest version of Android 15 on the Pixel devices lets you enable an experimental Terminal app and Debian VM. What are the fun use-cases of this, that you can think of? Let's assume the finalised version of this feature will include the ability for sound drivers and proper port mapping/forwarding.

  • Running web servers off your phone might become feasible
  • Basic light development work
  • Use to easily SSH to other clients if needed
  • Already proven it can run DOOM

There's bound to be many more use-cases as this feature expands, and especially when Android replaces ChromeOS in the future.
