I am a quadrogenarian who only just began their new chapter as an open transfem person, and all I wish I could tell you in a way that would connect is: Fuck all the fuckers. You're beautiful and you matter. And both your voice and your perspective are appreciated. I'm sure I'm not just speaking on my own behalf even just within the Lemmy bubble, but I share it so it's at least voiced.

Went out for groceries, including a couple 5-gallon water jugs. At the checkout, the lovely person at the register says Hi ma'am, pretends not to notice my 5 o'clock shadow that my makeup has for hours failed to hide, tells me she loves my bracelet, and then tells the young men helping bag items to "help this nice lady with her water".

I'll be hanging onto that. She was an angel.

I've got a night to myself, so I've been able to relax, do my nails and makeup, put on a dress I feel great in, and just have a chance to really feel comfortable in my own skin. So freeing!
