Is it more ridiculous than finding a friend group based on their net worth?

If you use these services, please donate once or regularly if you're able. They are free as in puppy, not beer - dev work costs money. I would guess many people using Tor/privacy tools are tech savvy enough to have financial comfort due to a good career. If you do it you're doing an everyday act of rebellion for the sake of progress!!!
Right but it's a nicer word to use imo.
They are victims, not "peasants" or "serfs".
What other reason would tech billionaires and CEOs care to spy on you? They bought everything else, they have a privacy fetish obviously.
And the engineers who work there too.
They are pretty conservative now though. It sounds liberal but they slip misinformation and doubt in to make everyone more moderate. Plus sensational claims that lend credibility to right wing critique. That shit works like a charm on my parents, they'll say "we hate Trump. But you have to admit Joe Biden wasn't fit for office, he had classic early dementia... Kamala just didn't seem experienced enough". They voted Democrat but there's more doubt and misinformation now, they're smart people too ☹️
Misinformation is one helluva drug.
"You're so stupid, do you only look at charts? There's a lot more to it than data, Trump is making decisions you can't even comprehend. You don't understand the greater plan, you can't always be nice to other countries, we can't bail out Canada and Ukraine if we want to be great." Probably that from the "smarter" ones, blank stares and drooling from most.
In 20 years after all journalists are fired or leave, The Onion will be the only news outlet left.
"I lean towards the truth on some subjects, disinformed lies on some others".
Why do you think the article is upset at Vance? He should have said "We borrow money from them to buy the things they manufacture." Mentioning ethnicity or the word peasant is clearly racist. Even if he wanted to drive it home, he could have said "We borrow money from these victims of slavery..." but it wouldn't have made any sense of course that way. It was racist.
