I've been discovering selfhosted Github alternatives and thought that Forgejo fits me best due to it's license. However, I like the interface of Github and Gitea more than what I see on Codeberg. So if I host my own instance of Forgejo, can I make it's interface similar to Github's?

Update: I know I do not have to self host Forgejo. I wish to know if I would have a certain option if I would self host.

It might be a very stupid question, but, does Gentoo handbook assume I'm preparing to install Gentoo from an already working Linux system?

I would like to practice installing Gentoo from scratch since I like the idea of the distro, but I'm quite new to Linux at all and only had experience with Debian. I suppose my very basic knowledge of terminal isn't enough to install Gentoo, even with the handbook. So, what would you recommend to learn or practice before I actually try installing Gentoo? Also, any specific tips on installing Gentoo inside a VM?

When I say "serious" I mean something widely used and expected on the labor market, like C++ or Java. I don't really know the world of programming very well, so I may misjudge some languages for being not serious easily. Particularly with Zig, I heard it being called a "vibecoder language"

I remember people telling Zig was a "vibecoder" language, in the context of rewriting Bun to Rust. Yeah I know, a very odd kind of logic

I believe, I should've put this in quotation marks

I have been thinking of learning some programming recently, but I don't feel confident enough. Is there any point in beginning with something like Zig or Go, and switching to something more serious later?

Popup says "valid for xmpp.jp and *.xmpp.jp"

The mine is configured to network time, but it is not syncing with my region, just the region having same offset from UTC (both have no DST anyway), may that cause any trouble?

I've checked the website of xmpp dot japan, it has totally different certificates rn. Like, it has Google Trust certificate while the popup shows Let's Encrypt and ISRG. Seems weird

This popped up in Conversations today and I'm concerned

I have to admit, this is a magnificent answer. Thank you very much!

It is possible, but never thought this to be a potential ADHD symptome

I wanna do really many things (as hobbies). But mostly I just think of them and nothing more. I have plenty of time and I still do some things, but that's not enough. So how do I make my wannabe hobbies become my habits?

So they just don't port/compile it for certain platforms anymore?

Uhm, at least Opera doesn't drain my battery as if it was mining something.

Do you use vim as your default text editor? If you do not, have you ever been in a situation you could do nothing but use vim?

I can't install anything because connection to debian.map.fastlydns.net is stuck at 0%. However, pinging it does work. I suppose it is caused by my ISP since. So, what should I do to fix that? Is switching to a mirror going to help?

I've formatted a USB after it was used for an iso with ventoy, and now the usb doesn't work. Google says I have to clear the USB, create a primary partition and format it to fat32 (via diskpart) but I'm stuck with "no volume for this partition". "Create volume" doesn't help: it says the disk isn't dynamic What should I do?

Do you use any forks instead of default Firefox? If yes, which ones and why?
