there was a show “quantum leap” where every week the protagonist would “leap” into a different time, place, and person. After solving whatever problem that person had he would get to leap again. Hoping, each time, that the next leap would be his leap home.

I can already hear him saying something like “maybe I should just change the law that says you can’t drive into protesters, who knows. maybe that’s something we’ll have to look into.”
