The situation in Iran, with no internet and jamming set up to try to even block Starlink, seems exactly the situation for which Briar was made.

Is Briar technically feasible to use in Iran or is this too problematic because of jamming of WiFi and other signals?

Is this the sort of thing where someone with access to a Starlink could download Briar from F-droid and share the apk via USB or is that not possible with Iranian cell phones?

I am asking as someone who isn't sure whether jamming can also block bluetooth signals.

وضعیت در ایران، با قطع اینترنت و ایجاد پارازیت به‌گونه‌ای که حتی تلاش می‌شود استارلینک هم مسدود شود، دقیقاً همان وضعیتی است که برای آن بریر ساخته شده است.

آیا از نظر فنی استفاده از بریر در ایران ممکن است یا اینکه پارازیت روی وای‌فای و سایر سیگنال‌ها این کار را بیش از حد مشکل می‌کند؟

آیا این‌طور است که کسی که به استارلینک دسترسی دارد می‌تواند بریر را از F‑Droid دانلود کند و فایل apk را از طریق USB به دیگران منتقل کند، یا این با گوشی‌های ایرانی ممکن نیست؟

من این را می‌پرسم چون مطمئن نیستم که پارازیت بتواند سیگنال‌های بلوتوث را هم مسدود کند.

گام 2 — بررسی معماری CPU اندروید

راه ساده: روی گوشی مقصد اپلیکیشن CPU‑Z یا Droid Hardware Info را نصب کنید (در صورت امکان) و در بخش CPU معماری را ببینید (ARM64, armeabi-v7a, x86 و غیره).
اگر امکان نصب اپ دیگر نیست، بیشتر گوشی‌های مدرن اندروید امروز ARM64 (aarch64) هستند — اگر گوشی جدیدتر است احتمالاً ARM64 است.
در F‑Droid معمولاً نسخه‌های عمومی برای معماری‌های رایج عرضه می‌شود؛ فایل APK معمولی اغلب با اکثر گوشی‌های ARM سازگار است، اما اگر نسخه مجزا وجود داشته باشد، APK مناسب را انتخاب کنید.

گام 3 — انتقال APK به گوشی بدون اینترنت گزینه A — انتقال از طریق USB:

با کابل USB گوشی را به کامپیوتر متصل کنید.
در گوشی حالت اتصال را روی “File Transfer (MTP)” قرار دهید.
فایل APK را در پوشه Downloads یا یک پوشه دلخواه کپی کنید.

گزینه B — کارت حافظه (microSD):

فایل APK را روی کارت microSD کپی کنید.
کارت را در گوشی قرار دهید و فایل را از برنامه Files یا File Manager پیدا کنید.

گزینه C — انتقال مستقیم بین اندروید‌ها:

از Bluetooth فایل را ارسال کنید (اگر کار کند) یا از کابل USB‑OTG و فلش USB با آداپتور استفاده کنید.

گام 4 — فعال‌سازی نصب از منابع نامعلوم

در اندرویدهای جدید: تنظیمات → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → برنامه‌ای که فایل APK را باز می‌کنید (Files/Browser) را انتخاب و “Allow from this source” را فعال کنید.
در اندرویدهای قدیمی: Settings → Security → تیک “Unknown sources” را بزنید.

گام 5 — نصب APK

با File Manager به محلی که APK قرار دارد بروید.
فایل APK را لمس کنید و دستور نصب را دنبال کنید.
اگر پیغام امضا/نسخه قدیمی‌تر ظاهر شد، اجازه دهید نصب جایگزین شود (یا بهتر است از نسخه رسمی و به‌روز استفاده کنید).

گام 6 — بررسی امضا و منبع (امنیت)

Most of the public's awareness of technology is so naive as to basically stick their heads in the sand because they want the convenience and ease and are willing to overlook evil. So they don't care about supply chain evils, corruption that is embedded into the system, so they can scroll TikTok and watch netflix on their offtime, while using Klarma to pay the groceries. Real organization against organizers in which people aren't being data mined would require some technological awareness. The masses just don't have it.

They join political groups on Facebook then get data mined and classified into oblivion until a computer can process their views and give them a discounted ad-supported Netflix so they are less politically upset.

This is our world.

Right, when you apply for jobs, they want socials and indeeds and this and that, when you meet people they want to add you on Facebook. These are "private" companies, but because they are natural monopolies, they essentially become quasi-required parts of being able to function normally within society.

The right way to deal with this is to regulate the fuck out of the natural monopolies, but rich elitists who own the government by proxy and big surveillance tech have this symbiotic relationship where big tech surveils and secretly data mines the public (to blacklist and exclude potential risks to the system and monitor those people) and so it won't happen.

Republicans, hurt most by the blacklisting initially, were most likely to regulate big tech, ironically, but now money and ass-kissing of Republican leaders has changed the game and no one will fucking regulate them. All politicians who allow this to happen are either weak or whores, being paid to just perform a role of politician.

even if this article is right, Republicans still use anti-trans rhetoric and anti-trans policy to appeal to ignorant uneducated males of low socioeconomic status, and it works...

if you go far enough down on the totem pole of socioeconomic status and education, you find people who genuinely think that Democrats are trying to give all the money to the elites and don't understand that proposals for trickle down economics mean they, the lower class people, are going to get fucked. Because so many of these low education and low intelligence people can only vote emotionally, because they actually can't understand the economic issues, they get tricked by conservatives every time with emotional ploys about trans people and other bullshit...

Because if you're some tractor driver who went to Bob Jones university and can't understand things like monetary supply and federal interest rates and crowding out of private investment by government bonds and real prices and the problems of the CPI, you still may understand the myths of the Bible and that trans people "don't seem quite right" and you may laugh at "trans-insanity" insults and other things enough to connect with super rich people out to fuck you as hard as your ignorant brain will allow. And so if you're that type, you're going to vote Republican and then 2 years later complain about how it's unfair you're losing the farm and tractor.

It's not about how people rationally feel, this is about rhetorical mendacious trickery to confuse and dupe the stupid plus rage-bait wedge issues so that enough poor people vote with the rich so that both the lower and middle classes get fucked.

but it's easier said than done, and more than that, it's fucking infuriating having to do any of this shit.

i fucked up an interview because it took me an extra 30 minutes to find out chromium wouldn't work, firefox wouldn't work, and only plain vanilla chrome would work. you're not the only one who has been fucked by this. the interview platform demanded chrome but won't tell you; you have to trial and error find out. corporations want grateful docile slaves. it's time consuming to figure out what normie bullshit each asshole corp wants.

it's really fucked. when i use privacy preserving techniques, often company anti-fraud systems flag me as "fraud." but if i actually use "white hat" tactics that "ethical pen testers" use, suddenly i'm allowed to have privacy and use my own system and they think i'm a normie.

sometimes i don't even care any more and use systems that obviously seem like fraud, because it's just me and not fraud and i hate them, and then if they think it's fraud who gives a fuck. if they flag me as fraud, i'll go with another company. none of their shit stops anyone good and these anti-privacy companies get a false sense of security from all the "amazing" cloudflare blocking and anti-fraud protection... they are getting charged blocking real users and then one day someone brutal and sophisticated comes, someone not like me who doesn't know shit, and just destroys their servers.
