Multi-billionaire Nazi Musk clearly has nothing better to spend his money on...

My previous post on this did poorly. Hoping a cute fennec fox meme will improve engagement.

Tesla sales have also been falling across much of Europe: new car registrations dropped 89% in Sweden, 86% in Denmark, 50% in Norway and 48% in the Netherlands in October, according to local industry data.

France was an outlier, where the company made a small gain in sales for the second month in a row.

Meanwhile, data from the Chinese Passenger Car Association released on Tuesday, showed that shipments from its Shanghai factory continued to decline, with 61,497 units shipped in October, down about 10% compared with last year.

"What Elon Musk’s Version of Wikipedia Thinks About Hitler, Putin, and Apartheid"

https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/2025/10/grokipedia-elon-musk/684730/

or via this archive link to avoid the paywall: https://archive.is/9i6iW

Here’s how this likely worked in practice: First, Musk turned X into a center of gravity for his own far-right views, and appeared to amplify those who share them. Then he fed this repository of conspiracy theories, vitriol, and memes into an AI model already designed not to shy away from controversial or even hateful views. Finally, Musk used that AI model to write an anti-woke encyclopedia. Now Grokipedia recasts its creator’s opinions as a fountain of objective truth—providing a “comprehensive collection of all knowledge,” as Musk wrote on X. Grok, it should be noted, likely trained on Wikipedia articles, and several Grokipedia entries explicitly note that “the content is adapted from Wikipedia.” Having cannibalized what’s there, Musk wants to use his chatbot to remake the media, internet, and universe of knowledge to his liking.

Warning: Article will trigger Musk fanboys and MAGA cultists and other far-right neo-Nazis, all of whom can fuck off.

Why am I posting this to Swasticars? Well . . .

I posted this to r/adviceanimals on Reddit yesterday. It was doing good, and within 7 hours it had 4.8k upvotes, over 90 comments and a record (for me) 185 shares, not to mention it was the #3 post on the sub ... and then the moderators silently removed the post. I don't know why; I didn't ask, but it didn't break any rules. I could guess, based on the absurdly high number of shares, that the far-right extremists (read as MAGA) and actual Nazis (read as ICE) were reporting the post so much that the moderators got tired of that. Just a guess.

Today is No Kings. Hope to see you all out there! Be safe. The Nazis are real.

Creating a consumer vehicle so awful, so hated, that the only way to get rid of them is to have your other Nazi-owned companies buy them.

https://electrek.co/2025/10/13/elon-musks-spacex-and-xai-are-buying-teslas-unsold-cybertrucks/

Hundreds of Tesla Cybertrucks have been spotted being delivered Elon Musk’s private companies, SpaceX and xAI, as Tesla is having issues selling the electric pickup truck.

Cybertruck turned out to be Tesla’s first real commercial flop.

After planning for a production capacity of over 250,000 units per year, Tesla is currently selling the pickup truck at a rate of ~20,000 units annually.

A ~10% utiliation rate of a production line is a terrible situation for an automaker as much of the capital invested in the vehicle program becomes sunk cost.

But things are even more difficult with Tesla, as even with much lower production, the automaker often ends up having inventory build-ups for the Cybertruck.

Elon Musk has a solution: he had his private companies buy hundreds if not thousands of Cybertrucks.

Well, shucks!

https://electrek.co/2025/09/30/u-s-army-confirms-tesla-cybertruck-cant-be-imported-in-europe/

The Cybertruck has no type-approval from the European Union (EU) due to significant passive safety concerns. Several specifications of the Cybertruck, particularly the sharp-edged, stiff stainless-steel body, violate EU safety standards, primarily for the protection of vulnerable road users.

EU safety standards do not only focus on the safety of the vehicle occupants but also on the safety of other road users and in particular of vulnerable road users such as pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists. These standards require, for example, passive safety features such as impact protection zones prohibiting sharp edges on the vehicle body and speed limiters on vehicles weighing over 3.5 tons – requirements clearly violated by the Cybertruck.

https://insideevs.com/news/773371/tesla-fsd-drive-coast-to-coast-damage-repair-battery/

Excerpts from the article:

[...] things went south rather quickly. About 60 miles into the trip, the car hit a metal ramp while driving at roughly 75 miles per hour, leading to some airtime and serious damage. FSD Supervised didn’t brake or swerve, and the impact made the two men inside jump from their seats.

A Tesla owner and influencer attempted to drive a nearly brand-new Model Y coast-to-coast using only the company’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised) assistance system.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said back in 2016 that the automaker would do the trip without interventions to prove to the world that it’s possible.

In the real world, the attempt ended with a crash just 60 miles after the starting point.

Apparently, Tesler paid for the battery replacement, which came in at $17,000.

But we can do much better. Right? I hope so. Still, it's incredible to me that even now there are plenty of people who, knowing full well that Musk is an actual Nazi, still support him. We have our work cut out for us.

Some juicy excerpts:

Meanwhile, the brand that actually popularized the EV, moving it from compliance car and milk float to something desirable, has fallen even further into negative territory in July.

Just 26 percent of survey participants still have a somewhat or very positive view of Tesla. But 39 percent have a somewhat or very negative view of the company, with just 14 percent being unfamiliar or having no opinion. That’s a net positive view of -13, but Tesla’s view intensity score is -16, meaning a lot more people really don’t like the company compared to the ones who really do. The problem is also growing over time: In April, Tesla still had a net positive view of -7.

[...]

When asked which brands they trusted, the survey data mostly mirrored the positive versus negative brand perception. Only Tesla and Vinfast have negative net trust scores, with Tesla also having the lowest “trust integrity score”—those who say they trust a brand “a lot” versus those who distrust that brand “a lot,” at -19.

Article here: https://arstechnica.com/cars/2025/07/tesla-is-the-least-trusted-car-brand-in-america-survey-finds/

Sadly, the Nazi Swasticar meme stock price fails to reflect the lack of trust and disapproval of the survey's respondents.

Critics, meanwhile, mocked Ani as a masturbatory aid for “gooners.” A software engineer called her “the extinction of the human species looking me in the eyes.” Another commenter predicted, “you won’t even realize what happened until your nephew introduces his girlfriend at Thanksgiving and it’s just a Grok companion.” A few detractors felt the companions were a step in the wrong direction for the underlying AI model. “This is so embarrassing,” one posted on X.

File under: To be a MAGA turned Musk fanboy

Who knows if this dumb ass name will take off for the new Musk Nazi party. Imagine being proud of people calling you a degenerate? Or wanting to call yourself that? Wear it in public on a t-shirt or a hat? Well you don't have to imagine it now. FFS.

Question: Have we reached peak stupidity yet?

Don't answer that, please.

I suppose most of you came to Lemmy because you'd had enough of Reddit. Maybe you thought Reddit sucks or is poorly managed? Didn't like certain changes there? Maybe you got unfairly banned or suspended? Maybe Lemmy was your backup plan, or still is? In my case, it's a backup for when my Reddit account eventually gets permanently banned. By the way, this will be a long post of text. Fair warning. I know people don't enjoy reading these days. Sorry.

As of this writing, I'm on a 3-day ban for supposedly encouraging harm or violence, which I didn't do. I'll add the photo of what I got banned for at the bottom of this post. I'm currently waiting to see how my appeal goes. While my account there is only a few years old, I've only really been using it for the past 200 days or so. In that time, I have had my account suspended three times, all of which were successfully overturned on appeal because I didn't actually break any rules. And in all cases, the reason for the wrongful suspension/ban was for "encouraging harm or violence." I have also had seven warnings, all but one were successfully appealed. All this in 200 days. Hmm....

So this is a thing that keeps happening. And it happens because there are no bigger snowflakes than MAGA and Musk supporters. The so-called free speech party is anything but that. To be fair, it's not actually my speech that is an issue for them. It's me, personally. So they trawl through my post and comment history hoping to find anything that they can report to Reddit's admins which will be taken out of context or completely misunderstood. I know this, because comments that had been up for months and months without issue have sometimes been the ones they reported.

Sometimes the bans or suspensions are done by automation, a bot - meaning that no human looked at the potentially violative content. This is bullshit of course. For a bot to automatically suspend you, it requires many bad-faith reports from different accounts. Targeted harassment like this is almost always organized off of Reddit, usually some "conservative" Discord or some other non-public forum safe from the prying eyes of Reddit's admins. Anyway, these incels clearly have nothing better to do than to harass others and try to get people's accounts banned. They get off on that petty and juvenile shit.

Anyway, as I mentioned, I just got another ban. Surprisingly, I hadn't had a warning, suspension or ban in about three months until today. They had been happening about once per week on average. I haven't changed what I typically post -- anti-MAGA, anti-Trump, anti-conservative and anti-ICE stuff mostly. The only change I made was blocking all of the moderators of a certain conservative sub. That really seemed to make a difference in lowering the harassment I get. Go figure!

And I never comment, post or vote in any of the pro-MAGA, pro-fascism subs. I stick to my friendly subs. Today's offending comment/image that got me banned was in a sub that tracks what ICE is doing. I made the comment five days ago, in response to a group that is identifying ICE agents, and that group's websites are constantly taken down by the actual Nazis in the US government. And sub moderators and Reddit admins keep taking down posts that mention the Ice List or provide a link to it.

Truth be told, I'm not a fan of social media, and I'm including Reddit and Lemmy as social media. These are my only social media accounts. I don't have accounts at or use any other services like Twitter or Facebook, Threads or Bluesky. I won't be heartbroken if I can't use Reddit any longer. I find it useful to a limited extent, much bigger audience generally, but many of the restrictions are asinine. Those restrictions leave no room for nuance or context. Admins consistently fail to use proper discernment. It's impossible to explain that nuance or context of your banned comment or post when appealing a ban because you get ONLY 250 characters to appeal. They purposely hamstring your appeal defense. Sure, they're busy, they've got tons of appeals to go through, because tons of people are getting banned every fucking day. Maybe the problem is the ease in which people get banned, with far too many of them undeserving of being banned to begin with? Maybe? Maybe it's Reddit's bullshit reporting system being abused by bad faith actors? Maybe?

I've not encountered any of this harassment on Lemmy. The things I've posted to Reddit I've also posted here. In fairness, the userbase here is far smaller than Reddit. The worst I've had here on Lemmy is the same users who downvote practically every post I've made here. Eventually they'll get bored of that, if I don't get bored of posting here first. I'll probably get bored first.

My real issue isn't that Reddit restricts free speech, which it absolutely does and we can discuss forever whether they should. It's that Reddit has consistently sided with the Nazis and billionaires when deciding which speech it is going to restrict while allowing far right extremists to carry on advocating for actual violence against others. People were getting warned and banned for even mentioning Luigi Mangione's name, or posting up Super Mario Brothers gif images that Reddit freely supplies to all users. Why make that choice if not to support the very same people who are making everyone's life worse? What concerns me most is that people can't freely organize against the fascists. Fuck, even the Eat The Rich sub on Reddit doesn't allow comments that use the word the "revolution" out of fear of losing their sub, because the Reddit admins demanded it. That sub also started moderating posts and comments about Luigi, including several of mine. It's absurd. People do need to talk freely about fighting back against the Nazis. And if they can't do that, then we must assume that those online services support the Nazis.

Speaking of Nazis, the image I posted on Reddit follows. As you'll see, it is a WW2 propaganda poster that someone photoshopped and put a red hat on it. It doesn't advocate for violence. It advocates for defense from those who seek to be violent: fascists, Nazis, Proud Boys, MAGA.

The original WW2 poster can be seen here.

I know this was unnecessarily long, and I know that few people will read all of it and even fewer will care. The TL;DR is that the fascists are succeeding in part because Reddit and other social media are enabling them. And we have fewer places to post about what is happening with candor. At which point will these sites let people organize a proper defense against authoritarianism and fascism?
