Emotional harm can be hard to name and easy to dismiss. We know when we've been physically hit, but emotional is really different. All sorts of things can cause emotional harm... what can we do to protect ourselves from it?

It's literally the most natural thing in the world to equate reproductive effectiveness to worth. All life is "worth" their reproductive effectiveness. So not having sex is very relevant to our entire existence as a species.

As such, our mental faculties put a heavy punishment in the form of mental pain, i.e. "self-worth attached to getting laid", on this whole thing.

This has very little to do with societal expectations. It's simple biology. Not getting laid is supposed to be one of the worst things for an organism.

To explain the video, it's two friends: one native-born Shanghai, one outsider to Shanghai, playfully teasing each other over their different upbringings, habits, etc. This divide is emphasized by one (Huang) singing in the Wu dialect of Shanghai while the other (Lou) singing in Mandarin. They're playfully making fun of how each does things differently, but the chorus hits the core of the song:

“No matter where you’re from, you’re my sister, and we’ll always have each other in this big city.”

There's certain things that are seen as classically female. Shopping, kids, crafting, gossip etc are all seen as women's stuff, but we dont all like them. What classically female things do you like?
