My mom just handed me a package yesterday (we live together currently) I was not expecting. "Its from your cats, for father's day."

What.

I dont think much thought was put into it

The shirt was customizable
I have 2 cats
One of the cats on the shirt was orange instead of Black/brown
The other cat's name was misspelled (she asked me after she ordered it)
Shirt size was 2 sizes too small (she handles my laundry)
Pretty sure there's no exchanges on custom shirts

Something tells me she saw a Facebook ad for the shirt and bought it on a whim. Im still having trouble processing getting the shirt I didn't ask for, and tbh, I probably wouldn't even wear.

Im not ungrateful. I appreciated the thought, but I wish she would have asked if getting a gift for the holiday was ok, my shirt size, or maybe if I even liked the design.

Stating my feelings is how I can portray them across the internet. I understand your point though. I am cynical. My upbringing was poor. My mom wasn't in my life for most of it. I appreciate the gift, but I wish it had been presented differently.
