Does anyone have recommendations for replacement pads on shimano 4 piston calipers? Existing pads are oem sintered metal N04c, looks like $40 per pair on Jenson, on sale.

Galfer or MTX are a little less, ~$31-35 per pair.

I went through this a couple of months ago. Going from stock Shimano 4 piston metallic pads, I wanted to want Galfer or MTX, but they are not cheap.

I kept coming across consistent recommendations for Truckerco pads. For $19 for 2 pairs of the semi metallics, it seemed like worth a try. No night and day differences to the Shimanos for me, and I’ve been happy with them so far.

Went Shimano, Performance had them for $29 a pair. But thanks for the tip, might try the Truckerco next.

As it’s worked out, I’m switching mine to Galfer Standards. Turns out that they’re $19/set from Jenson and it’s the Pros that are $34.

For reasons, I’m taking my bike to a lift served park this weekend and relying on budget pads doesn’t seem like a great idea. As decent as they’ve been on my local trails.
