Thomas Jefferson saw this coming and specifically recommended each new generation revise it to reflect current society, we just started with “old white dudes own everything” and never bothered to change it. The fact that the 13th amendment was even written let alone still being used is a disgrace, you’re right it’s shit and needs an update.
