Is 'Melissanthe' an actual Greek personal name or it was invented by a Greek poet?

TIL.

I wonder if the author knew about the Feast or just saw the name and ran with it.

Not sure, but I read the synopsis of the book on Wikipedia and am pretty interested.

The main character is what we would consider a social parasite attempting to live off wealthy men. The high class setting makes me believe that breakfast at Tiffany's is referring to the jewelry store, which is the only place she feels calm.
