Why did she? Seems like a case of FAFO.

Seems like a case of bait-and-switch.

She was a reservist, meaning she was told she'd be training on weekends and working her regular job during the week. It should be illegal to send reservists to these wars of choice, but Dubya changed that during the War on Terror because no one wanted to go to Iraq and Afghanistan to die.

And I'm not comfortable blaming the soldiers just yet, when all the evidence we have is that the military and joint chiefs (sans Keg-Breath) told Donald not to do this and he told them to fuck themselves and did it anyway.

In this day and age, if you sign up for the military you know there is a high chance you will be sent to a foreign country that did nothing to us to kill brown children to distract from the fact that our leaders are raping other children.

Or you would know it if the USA wasn't the most propagandized place on the face of the earth.

And then his buddy Putin gave the American military targets to Iran, then convinced Trump to remove the sanctions on Russian oil.

So Trump starts a war that jacks up oil prices, and firms up the markets for Russia and Tesla, making Putin and Musk the big winners.

his buddy Putin

American President surrounded by American generals and senators and tech CEOs doing a very American war in the Middle East as Americanly as you please

"Evil Foreigners made him do it"

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Right, pretend Russia's fingers aren't all over every bit of this. Trump can be even scummier than you think (and he is), but that doesn't make Putin a good guy. They are both psychopathic maniacs, and they are both getting as much out of this atrocity as they possibly can, along with a LOT of other people.

You'll always look stupid defending Putin. As stupid as you look when defending Trump.

[–] 0_o7@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

How the fuck is he defending Putin? Just because you made a accusation and he told you fuckwits are evil all on your own and always have been makes him a Putin defender?

Holy reading comprehension batman.

Is this what you have to show for your education? Strawman arguments like a toddler.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

My reading comprehension is bad? He's the one who literally took "evil foreigners made him do it" from what I said. Obviously Trump and MAGA are evil, but so is Putin, and Musk, and together they form the triumvirate of evil that is taking us into WW3.

They're all evil, okay?

You’ll always look stupid defending Putin.

Evangelicals have The Devil and Liberals have Vladimir Putin.

The GOP has wanted to bomb Iran since Bush 41. The whole party, and much of the American business community, is fully in his corner.

Hell, even Democrats are throwing in their support.

Evangelicals have The Devil and Liberals have Vladimir Putin.

The Devil isn't real.

You’ll always look stupid defending Putin.

Like I said.

Did you know that recruiters LIE?

Imagine being broke and struggling through college. You get an email from a recruiter - they have access to the university’s entire mailing of course - telling you that all you have to do is show up to a few weeks of boot camp, and do drill on the weekend.

You’re 18, and don’t know that recruiters are not just allowed to sell you up the river, but encouraged to. It seems like a nice alternative to student loan hell debt and living off jars of peanut butter.

I do ASVAB prep occasionally, which I have mixed feelings about, and have a client who I’ve just gotten to being able to borrow when subtracting. Do you think he’s equipped to make an intelligent choice when a recruiter promises him the world?
