I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to articulate to people that this conflict isn't just "Russia bad, Ukraine good" and that Ukraine is riddled with Nazis and is a NATO proxy being supported largely by the US.
I've gotten a couple of responses, one of them being "I strongly believe Ukraine is currently the best and strongest military in the world, their advances in weaponry are incredible and they were able to defend themselves properly even now that the US has abandoned them".
I don't think this is true at all, I think maybe the West is just arming and funding them to continue the pressure on Russia and also tried to explain what Nazis they are, to which I mostly got "this isn't relevant".
I would love more credible, proper, Marxist resources that I could read and counter them more properly next time on these matters, the Prolewiki article is nice, but it isn't enough to de-brainwash these people and doesn't provide me with enough language.
Kind of wish I had this level of knowledge when talking to people. Do you have sources for much of the stuff you talk about here? Also incredible answer, confirmed a lot of my assumptions and was very educational, thank you.
Most of what i said is in reference to various articles and revelations in Western media making grudging admissions about Ukraine, interviews given by Ukrainian commanders and soldiers, etc. A lot of these have been shared here on Lemmygrad these past years. Maybe someone who has more time than me can look some of these up and make a compilation of sources to expand the Prolewiki article.
You also get a lot of this information earlier before Western and Ukrainian sources are forced to admit them if you follow Russian and independent media coverage of the conflict. But those sources will probably be dismissed by the people you are trying to convince.

Simplicious the Thinker, on Substack has done an excellent job breaking down what is going on in Ukraine, both on the battlefields, but more critically in the political arena of both Ukraine and Russia.
History Legends on Youtube has also been doing an excellent job breaking down events on the battlefield, usually debunking Ukrainian and Western lies about the war. The best part is that he is definitely not pro-Russian, and actually started out as a pro-Ukrainian.
