There is obviously a size differential between Mexico and El Salvador which makes a big difference on what measures Mexico can implement compared to El Salvador due to the size difference and the federalized nature of Mexican politics. Yet, the importance is to show that there is an alternative to Bukele's dictatorship model in restoring rule of law over organized crime.
