Crazy idea, but instead of ripping out hundreds of thousand of trees using government aid, why doesn’t the government keep the processing plants open using aid? This sounds so very f*cking backwards

I’m gonna assume it would cost to much to keep Del Monte growing. The farmers/suppliers need time to grow new crops to sell since they lost their peach buyer.
