How tankies could possibly side with Russia in the Ukraine War is baffling enough.
But Russia has always been an imperialist, authoritarian shithole. Before Ukraine it was Georgia and Chechnya. Millions of lives ruined or taken by the ruthless acts of the Russian state.
Yet these idiots still line up, because their entire ideology is simply "West bad"
Cause tankies are disgusting people. They're monarchists. They just don't realize it
Their form of socialism is scraps off the table
Their form of socialism isn't socialism.
Hence why they have to label every single contradictory example of Marxist-Leninism as "Socialism with <INSERT COUNTRY OR CULTURE HERE> Characteristics".
It just so happened that socialism with a specific country's characteristics can include countries that have entirely abandoned socialism and their persuit of it.
And Belarus. They just never got past the protests stage because it was suppressed a lot harder. It's too useful as a satellite to let go.
