Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

I must say that Mental Outlaw is known for using the wrong terminology, for example calling closed-source software "spyware", which bothers everyone who works in the cybersecurity industry because this is blatantly wrong. I assume it's the same story with this supposed "backdoor".
Mental outlaw is a bit of nutter IMO. I couldn't live with that level of paranoia, so I stopped watching him.
Also, extremely right-wing coded conspiracies.

You're into Linux because either you want to escape capitalism/closed source monitoring every aspect of your life, or because muh freedom.
Well left wingers and the far right do have one thing in common, they're usually both under lots of surveillance.
It's a zero day that breaks bitlocker using some files on a USB.
Also spyware and bloatware are fairly often used for closed-source software because almost always closed-source code is either spyware or bloatware or both.
So... can the FsTx file from my computer disable bitlocker on yours? Because that would be interesting.
I'm not even sure what FsTx is but my guess is that you need a patched one, although it'd be an interesting to try if you got two PCs

I'm sure you're right, but it helps for a normie to privacy/security like my self, and viewer engagement.
You're right in that this isn't a backdoor. Its an exploit hes calling a backdoor.
