I mean, like I said, chinese models are nearly just as capable and they will forever be substantially cheaper simply because anybody with a server can run them. So your logic just doesn't pan out. Unless America can maintain a sufficient advantage in the technological capabilities, hopefully that doesn't happen.
I already agreed with you that Americans will raise prices in newer models (not old ones), but it doesn't really matter if the competition is almost as good and 100x cheaper.
