Nope.

Last year, the state of Idaho banned red light cameras:

A camera will not prevent a vehicle from entering an intersection.

It depends whether the threat of a ticket is a deterrent.

Is it? I'll believe that red light cameras help when shown that it does.

In the meantime we can do things that actually make intersections safer like raising them/traffic calming.

Almost like they’re not connected. Almost like a camera invading people’s privacy is separate from someone running a red light.

Can you tell the difference? Can you understand a camera on your ass isn’t the same as someone recklessly breaking the law?
