My point exactly. eInk is too different to be used as a standard display. Until it can keep up with the other players, it continue to be relegated to niche use rather than being taken seriously as a display standard.
The big benefit of eink displays is they use significantly less power than led displays.
you can't really say that and not mention the fact that e-ink is reflective and almost literally looks like paper, which is the main appeal for a ton of people. It's vastly more comfortable to look at for long periods, and remains easily readable in direct sunlight (just like paper).
Yes I am aware of that. My comment still stands.
When the tech is being use for surveillance pricing in grocery stores, it's hit rock bottom.
