You're right that this is a live and evolving situation. GrapheneOS has publicly raised concerns about how Revolut handles device verification, and I understand why that feels frustrating especially when you've chosen GrapheneOS because of its strong security and privacy credentials.
I want to inform you: at the moment, we only officially support standard Android (with official manufacturer firmware) and iOS. This means GrapheneOS hasn't gone through our internal compatibility and security testing. It's not about limiting your choice it's about ensuring we can guarantee the safety and stability of your financial data on every device we support. Since GrapheneOS is community-maintained, we can't currently verify it meets the rigorous standards we set for protecting your funds.

Yeah, I'm sure they do not use open source tools themselves. Build pipelines, testing, and so on, all windows baby! /s
And all that closed source definitely makes all their tools and processes SO much more trustworthy

After reading the original post, you are right to criticize the prose of the response. While it reads like AI, it imparts significant information, for example: that the user is using grapheneOS, that grapheneOS isn't currently supported, and that there is a pipeline ensuring that only approved operating systems are supported.
I hate that i wrote that by hand, and it reads so much like an LLM. The hardest was coming up with 3 positive sounding points
Agreed. I got one sentence into that response and it screams AI.
It's an absurd reply obviously written by someone who's never written a single Android application. Probably a secretary who got Claude to write it up for her while she plans Hawaiian shirt Friday. They make it sound as if they have a thorough process of some kind, but the process is almost certainly going to be a few people signing off that it comes from either Google or Apple.

Does Revolut offering anything of value vs other institutions? I'd just leave. That answer is, they never will support Graphene.
