Got the legs matched to the body and the holes drilled for the toothpicks, it's almost ready for gluing

Just gotta fix this

Once I get that wonky leg fixed and a final sanding with like 220 on everything, it'll be time to glue

Are those regular food toothpicks or do you need meatier woodworking toothpicks? Do you just tap em in snug or what?

They're just regular toothpicks from Walmart i think. They aren't intended to give any additional strength, just keep the joint tight while the glue dries. With the pilot hole properly sized, they actually keep things surprisingly tight

Based on a few test holes, I'm thinking I'll be able to just push them in by hand, I'm not sure they're strong enough to survive much more than the lightest tapping
