A place to discuss privacy and freedom in the digital world.
Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience
- Be nice :)

If there is no explanation one must assume the worst interpretation.
Wealthy connected people. The police who ultimately manage the local contracts with Flock. Federal agents and their ancillaries.
Why? "Because fuck you, we're your betters. Keep your nose down, citizen."
Pedophiles, it is to protect the pedophiles.
Pretty much this. I've been living under authoritarianism my whole life and such things are just clear as day.
Same reason so many social media or tech CEOs don't really let their kids use the product: they know it sucks and it's not good for you nor does it respect you or your data, they know how important privacy is - just not ~~for you~~ your privacy and data.
The same assholes that get those cards/coins etc. to hand to cops to explain that they can't be pulled over.
