Trump and the sycophants he's put in charge of the military love old school warfare. USA is going to be so far behind because of this idiot. Christ, the guy has demanded steam catapults on carriers and wants the Navy to build battleships.

3,000 sailors with a few dozen 2200 pound shells or a dozen people with a shit load of exploding drones?

AnswerBattleships were already obsolete by the end of WWII and eventually some drone pilot is going to Luke Skywalker -> Death Star that puppy.
