Difference is, Systemd wasn't specifically being used to facilitate fascist governments surveiling their populace or contribute to global warming like LLMs are.
Well systemd does require electricity to run, so unless you've got your own solar panels its probably contributing to global warming in its own little way.
And the biggest models today are Chinese. Terribly oppressive and paranoid government but not fascist.
