Don't know if it's a thing but I make Scromelette for my wife each morning. Scrambled eggs on very low heat then folded into an omelette before serving so still creamy inside. Then always chucked on smashed avo.

She hates the name but loves the taste lol

Wait what. I thought the french version is the perfectly neat and folded kind.

I make american omelettes. Thick and folded only in half, with jagged edges. Usually 8 eggs and veggies, cheese, for 2-3 people.

Yeah it basically is lol. Nice, i dont mind the thicker style from time to time

[–] caradenada@feddit.cl 18 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's a French omelette, known in France as an omelette.

IDK why the downvote. This is accurate. OP even says they didn't know it was a thing; now they do. 🤷‍♂️

In my family the word scrommit means vomiting so hard you're also screaming

Oh god buddy, sorry. When my kid was born I got it every December for three years and I can confirm, I've never felt less attached to this plane of existence than when I'm lying there after emptying myself from both ends, all over the bathroom like a spinning firework of effluent. You just lie there in a daze... I have never craved death more sincerely.

I used to go to this diner in nowhere PA that made a scromlet! Theirs was hashbrowns with eggs, peppers, onions, etc, and cheese on top! It was a small place, but the scromlet and fresh OJ was great!
