They do share an enemy: Israel.

Rules:
-
Rule 1: posts have the following requirements:
- Post news articles only
- Video links are NOT articles and will be removed.
- Title must match the article headline
- Not United States Internal News
- Recent (Past 30 Days)
- Screenshots/links to other social media sites (Twitter/X/Facebook/Youtube/reddit, etc.) are explicitly forbidden, as are link shorteners.
-
Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.
-
Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed. Sources that have a Low or Very Low factual reporting rating or MBFC Credibility Rating may be removed.
-
Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.
-
Posts and comments must abide by the lemmy.world terms of service UPDATED AS OF 10/19
-
Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
-
Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.
-
Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Israel has heavily supported Jolani in Syria to overthrow Assad. They have been his allies all along.
Former Israeli Mossad Chief Halevy on giving medical treatment to al Qaeda in Syria:
Q: Is it true that Israel is helping wounded Al-Qaeda fighters?
"It's always useful to deal with your enemies in a humane way."
Q: "Would you also treat Hezbollah fighters?"
"No"
Jolani is desperate to become a puppet of the Western Empire. He wants to be the next Mahmoud Abbas.
"Leader under immense pressure in a state that isn't even fully formed or stable offers conciliatory language to an encroaching aggressor who is an order of magnitude more prepared for military action"
Syria, currently, has no firm allies. Giving verbal asspats to Israel in the hopes of avoiding their focus in the near-future despite its horrendous imperialist behavior is probably one of the less-bad options at present, unfortunately.
His current comment proves that he seeks no peace with Iran. Instead he wants to team up with Israel and America to fight Lebanon and Iran.
Jolani has the backing of America, Israel, Turkey and the entire Gulf. Which are pushing Syria to become an American puppet state.
In fact the Syrian rebels had Syrian and Israeli backing before they overthrew Assad.

Al-Sharaa is in talks with Turkiye and has tepid support from some of the Gulf States.

Lord.

Okay?
EDIT TO ADDRESS THE OP'S EDIT:
His current comment proves that he seeks no peace with Iran. Instead he wants to team up with Israel and America to right Lebanon and Iran.
Golly gee, I wonder why he might regard Iran, one of the strongest supporters of Assad and the sectarian, genocidal aspect of the Syrian Civil War, having deployed literal tens-of-thousands of troops to Syrian soil for over a decade, and is still operating in Syria to destabilize the government through Assadist insurgents, as an enemy?
Yes didn't he say iran and israel are our biggest enemy?
"No you see, he is openly telling everyone that he wants to fight Iran with Israel's help because... He is looking for allies!"
“No you see, he is openly telling everyone that he wants to fight Iran with Israel’s help because… He is looking for allies!”
Yes, Syria is looking for allies. I don't know why you think that Iran isn't one of the threats towards Syria, considering their atrocious behavior in the Syrian Civil War and their current support of genocidal Assadist militias. I guess sectarian genocide is okay as long as it's The Axis Of Resistance, right?
Israel is literally bombing Syria and annexxing beyond the Golan Heights
Hey let's team up with Israel, which is doing a literal genocide and says they want to invade Syria next, to attack Iran!
So smart. Instead of teaming up with Iran to stop the genocidal ethnostate actively doing Lebensraum expansion on their land, they should team up with the guys annexxing their land!
It's like if Ukraine would team up with Putin which is actively invading them, to fight Germany.
Perhaps he thinks that this is the diplomatic card he has to play at this juncture, until Syria redevelops to a point where it can fend off Israel's bombs.
All signs indicate that the new Syrian dictator is an American-Israeli-backed agent who overthrew the Assad regime with the help of the US, Israel and Turkey.

Christ.
Christ
Wasnt the Syrian coup directly supported be the US? Only makes sense that they do the bidding of their benefactor...
the Syrian coup
...
Maybe not the right word. "Regime change" maybe?
The use of an euphemism doesn't really change what happened. The previous regime fell and a new one was installed in its place.
No he is just another collaborator and traitor
